Salvator Ngezendore wins KCB East Africa Golf Tour in Burundi with 39 points. Ninizindore Nininahazwe takes the ladies’ title with 38 points. Both will represent Burundi at the finale in Nairobi in December, vying for a chance at KSh 1 million prize.

In a remarkable display of skill, Salvator Ngezendore, a golfer with a handicap of 9, clinched victory at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour held at the Bujumbura Golf Club over the weekend. He scored an impressive 39 stableford points and emerged as the overall champion among a competitive field.

In the ladies’ category, Ngezendore Nininahazwe shone brightly, playing off a handicap of 36. She managed to secure the title with a solid performance, finishing with 38 points, showcasing her determination throughout the tournament.

Following his triumph, Ngezendore expressed pride in his achievement, stating, “This is truly a priceless moment for me. Both Ngezendore and Nininahazwe will join three additional top performers to represent Burundi at the anticipated finale in Nairobi scheduled for December. There, they will compete for a KSh 1 million prize for the winning golf club, a significant motivation for the members of Bujumbura Golf Club who hope to bring home honors. Winners will also have a chance to win an exclusive trip to a prestigious international golf tournament.

Previously held at various prestigious locations such as the Royal Nairobi Golf Club and Mombasa Sports Club, the KCB East Africa Golf Tour continues to attract participants from across the region. The tour’s next leg is set for the beautiful Kericho Golf Course on May 17, 2025, where approximately 250 golfers are expected to compete.
