AVZ, close to commencing its project, faced a setback in 2023 when Congo revoked its rights and reallocated portions of the permit to Zijin. AVZ is aiming to regain its entire exploration license.
To implement its plans, KoBold stated that AVZ must receive “appropriate compensation” and agree to transfer its Congo interests.
