His family noted that Jordan “passed away peacefully with family by his side in Cape Town” on Thursday morning. They expressed their sorrow, stating that “EJ brought an abundance of charisma, energy, and Irish charm everywhere he went.” Jordan’s absence leaves a significant void, but he is remembered for the “tonnes of great memories” he left behind.
Starting his racing career in lower-series competitions, Jordan progressed to Formula 1 in 1991, where he provided future seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher with his debut race that same year. Additionally, Jordan served as the manager for renowned car designer Adrian Newey during Newey’s transition from Red Bull to Aston Martin last year.
