Moreover, Ukraine will not recognize any temporarily occupied territories as part of Russia.
In the talks held in Jeddah, Yermak highlighted Ukraine’s proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, which would include the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of civilians, and the return of deported children. He underlined the critical importance of establishing clear mechanisms and expertise to monitor the ceasefire effectively.
Following the discussions on 11 March in Jeddah, Ukraine expressed its willingness to implement a ceasefire, contingent upon Russia’s compliance with the agreement. This reflects Ukraine’s ongoing commitment to peace negotiations and the preservation of its sovereignty.
