The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed the deaths of seven Lebanese citizens and injuries to 52 others, including a four-year-old girl, stressing the human toll of these border skirmishes.
The armed confrontations were reportedly ignited by accusations from the Syrian government that the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah had infiltrated the Syrian border on March 15, allegedly kidnapping and executing three soldiers.
