CazeTV has partnered with DAZN to broadcast the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in Brazil, airing 39 of 63 live matches, including Brazilian teams. Coverage will extend to multiple streaming platforms, with extensive social media engagement. This agreement enhances CazeTV’s collaboration with FIFA, following previous successful rights acquisitions. DAZN aims to innovate the viewing experience while addressing past challenges in securing broadcasts for the tournament.
CazeTV, a sports streaming platform in Brazil, has secured the rights to air the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup (CWC) through a sublicensing agreement with DAZN, a subscription-based sports service. The partnership, announced via social media, enables CazeTV to broadcast at least 39 of the 63 matches live, including notable fixtures featuring Brazilian teams, the semi-finals, and the final.
The live broadcasts will be available on CazeTV’s YouTube channels and other integrated platforms, including Samsung TV Plus, Mercado Play, and Amazon Prime Video. Brazilian teams slated to participate include Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Palmeiras. CazeTV will also enhance its coverage through extensive social media engagement, providing behind-the-scenes content and match highlights with teams operating in both Brazil and the United States.
Fabio Medeiros, CazeTV’s head of content, expressed enthusiasm regarding the partnership, stating that the deal aligns with CazeTV’s commitment to delivering top-quality sports content in a manner that resonates with its audience. This agreement strengthens CazeTV’s collaboration with FIFA, which includes the rights to several prominent tournaments, such as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the upcoming Women’s World Cup.
DAZN’s acquisition of exclusive global CWC rights for approximately $1 billion last December paved the way for this sublicensing agreement. The OTT platform will air all 63 games for free while also forming sublicensing partnerships in key regions such as Italy, Spain, the United States, and Egypt to recover its substantial investment. Recently, the Iris Sport Media agency obtained distribution rights for sub-Saharan Africa.
DAZN CEO Shay Segev noted the excitement surrounding the tournament’s availability to Brazilian fans, emphasizing the aim to provide innovative ways to engage audiences. Prior to DAZN’s involvement, FIFA had difficulties in securing a broadcast partner, facing resistance from traditional media outlets due to the competition’s controversial nature and associated player workload concerns.
The CWC will initiate on June 14 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, and will showcase the world’s top 32 clubs competing in 63 matches over 29 days. This revised format allows multiple teams from continental governing bodies, excluding the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). Conmebol representatives will feature six teams, including four Brazilian and two Argentinian teams, while UEFA will contribute twelve teams to the competition.
CazeTV has successfully partnered with DAZN to acquire broadcasting rights for the upcoming 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in Brazil. With plans to stream a significant portion of the matches live, including coverage of Brazilian teams, this collaboration aims to engage sports fans through various media platforms. This partnership not only highlights CazeTV’s growing relationship with FIFA but also addresses the increasing need for accessible sports content amid previous broadcast challenges faced by FIFA.
