Its Faculty of Medicine was established following collaboration with “Doctors with Africa Cuamm,” leading to the graduation of the first medical doctors in 2007, a historic milestone in training healthcare professionals beyond the capital. The commitment to the Medical School has continued to grow, reflecting the ongoing partnership with local health authorities, as indicated by the alarming statistic of just one doctor per 100,000 inhabitants in the area during its early years.
