The project, contracted at USD 39 million, involved the Argeo Venture, which is currently demobilizing in Walvis Bay, expected to conclude by 23 March. The venture initiated operations on 20 May 2024 after traveling from Norway.
The project duration extended to nearly 10 months due to unforeseen delays related to an extended yard stay and adverse weather conditions. The Argeo Venture achieved significant milestones, gathering over 7,000 line kilometers of AUV geophysical data and nearly 200 geotechnical samples from depths exceeding 3,000 meters.
This contract not only showcases Argeo’s capacity for delivering high-quality deep-water services but also emphasizes its proficiency in executing integrated projects combining geophysical and geotechnical evaluations, wherein data is processed onboard in a streamlined manner.
