Lockyear detailed the catastrophic consequences of the violence that has resulted in millions being displaced and tens of thousands losing their lives since hostilities erupted in April 2023. The conflict involves Sudan’s army, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhane, and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), commanded by General Mohamed Hamdane Daglo, leaving civilians caught in perilous crossfire.
