He reassured Parliament that these individuals do not pose any threats to national security, addressing concerns regarding their criminal records.
Ablakwa expressed confidence in the integrity of the returning individuals, stating, “These are hardworking, decent people.” He further clarified that the financial costs associated with their deportation are handled by the US government, reiterating his ministry’s commitment to preserving the dignity of those affected and promoting their successful re-entry into Ghanaian communities.
