It showcases breathtaking landscapes, vibrant urban areas, and notable landmarks, achieved through collaboration with Bing Maps, Maxar, and Vexcel, utilizing various forms of geospatial data to enhance realism.
The update highlights 75 Points of Interest (POIs) across the regions, including iconic sites like the Christ the Redeemer statue, Fort Zeelandia, Fort Diamant, and Monte Roraima. It also features four TIN cities in Brazil: Brasilia, Ouro Preto, Rio de Janeiro, and Sao Paulo. Additional content includes seven meticulously handcrafted airports developed by Gaya Simulations across Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana.
Included among the airports are Santarem-Maestro Wilson Fonseca International Airport (SBSN) and Foz do Iguacu International Airport (SBFI) in Brazil, among others. The update further offers three Discovery Flights, three Landing Challenges, and three Bush Trips exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 users. Starting March 17, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will introduce fresh content, including a helicopter challenge, rally race, and low-altitude challenge, themed around Brazil.
In addition, a new Local Legend aircraft, the CAP-4 Paulistinha, has been launched. Developed in the 1940s as a trainer aircraft by Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista, it bears resemblance to the American Piper Cub. The CAP-4 is powered by a 65-horsepower Franklin 4AC engine and offers a range of 310 miles, with a cruise speed of 87 MPH and a service ceiling of 13,000 feet.
Developed through a partnership with iniBuilds, the CAP-4 Paulistinha comes with six different liveries and is available free of charge to all Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 users, reflecting the developers’ commitment to user satisfaction. For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 owners, the aircraft can be purchased for $14.99 from the MSFS Marketplace.
