Mr. Justin Tokely, President of Madagascar’s National Assembly, at Parliament House. During discussions, he highlighted the key role of the Indian Diaspora in strengthening ties between the two countries and expressed satisfaction regarding the successful implementation of the first ‘Jaipur Foot Camp’ in Madagascar, which provided artificial limbs to many differently-abled individuals.
Shri Birla reiterated India’s status as the world’s oldest and largest democracy, while outlining its democratic traditions that date back thousands of years. He shared that voter turnout in India has been steadily increasing, with a 66% participation rate in the 2024 elections, illustrating the populace’s commitment to democracy.
