Ukraine and US Begin Peace Talks in Saudi Arabia

Ukrainian and US delegations have begun talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, focused on resolving the Russo-Ukrainian war. Key figures from Ukraine have joined the discussions, which aim to negotiate peace and develop bilateral relations. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated that territorial concessions may be required from Ukraine to end the conflict.

Discussions between Ukrainian and US representatives regarding the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war have commenced in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Ukrainian delegation includes significant figures such as Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Presidential Office, along with his deputy Pavlo Palisa, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and Defence Minister Rustem Umierov. A video released on the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s Telegram channel showcases the delegation’s entry into the negotiation venue.

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, these talks are intended to address bilateral relations alongside pathways to peace. On March 10, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that Ukraine may need to concede territories occupied by Russia since 2014 for any potential peace agreement to be realized.
