TM Pick n Pay Chief Financial Officer Gamu Nyamuzinga announced an additional donation valued at $80,000, split between $50,000 from TM Pick n Pay and $30,000 from CABS. He confirmed that the drugs provided would ensure chemotherapy treatment access for affected children.
Furthermore, an extra $30,000 was designated for child welfare; $15,000 would assist with food supplies, and another $15,000 would cover transport costs, alleviating families’ financial burdens while traveling to treatment at Parirenyatwa Hospital. Likewise, First Capital Bank Chief Executive Officer Tapera Mushoriwa expressed at another donation event at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, held in partnership with Cancerserve, his commitment to enhancing cancer care within the community.
Cancerserve Trust representative Anna Nyakabau stressed the importance of a collective effort to combat cancer, urging other organizations to support initiatives that advance cancer treatment and care accessibility throughout Zimbabwe.
