This event highlighted the bank’s commitment to the empowerment of women, particularly in the eastern region where its first branch was inaugurated in Nkamba. The celebration began with BPR Bank’s Managing Director and the management team participating in the Nyagatare District’s ‘Night Run,’ an initiative aimed at promoting health and wellness among women of all ages.
The Night Run drew participants including local women, district leaders, and customers of BPR Bank, reflecting their collective celebration of the strength and resilience of women within the community. Following this event, a dinner was hosted by BPR Bank, attended by its Managing Director, senior officials, and the Mayor of Nyagatare District. This gathering served as a platform to discuss women’s empowerment and the pivotal role of financial services in fostering community development and supporting women’s leadership throughout Rwanda.
Patience Mutesi, the Managing Director of BPR Bank, remarked on the significance of holding International Women’s Day celebrations in Nyagatare as a celebration of the bank’s 50 years of service.
