In a recent address, Minister of Finance Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson emphasized the government’s commitment to fundamentally reshape Ghana’s economic landscape. He remarked, “Ghana’s defining moment is now,” underscoring the necessity for audacious decisions aimed at fostering economic growth and achieving financial independence.
On March 11, 2025, Dr. Forson presented the first Budget and Economic Policy under the John Dramani Mahama administration to Parliament, aligning with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution and Section 21 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
During his presentation, Dr. Forson is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of Ghana’s economic situation and outline the policy goals the administration plans to pursue in response to contemporary economic challenges.
