ACUD has signed an agreement with Côte d’Ivoire’s Embassy for a 5,000-square-meter plot in the New Administrative Capital’s Diplomatic District. The move underscores the strong ties between Egypt and Côte d’Ivoire. Both leaders praised the urban development of the NAC, aiming to create a centralized diplomatic hub.
The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) has formalized a land sale agreement with the Embassy of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in Cairo for a 5,000-square-meter site in the New Administrative Capital’s Diplomatic District. The contract was signed by ACUD’s Chairperson Khaled Abbas and Côte d’Ivoire’s Ambassador to Egypt, Albert G. Dole, along with representatives from both parties present at the event.
Ambassador Dole expressed his approval of the embassy’s move to the New Administrative Capital, noting, “We are delighted to be in the NAC, following the directives of the Ivorian President. This move is a testament to the strong ties between our two nations.” He lauded the NAC for its impressive urban development and emphasized the strategic significance of the Diplomatic District for embassy operations, given its distinguished design and infrastructure.
Khaled Abbas also expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Dole, stating, “We are pleased to sign this agreement, paving the way for the embassy’s relocation to the Diplomatic District in the New Administrative Capital.” He highlighted that the increasing number of embassies relocating to the NAC contributes to developing a leading diplomatic district on a global scale.
The master plan for the New Administrative Capital includes the creation of the Diplomatic District, intended to house foreign embassies currently based in Cairo. This initiative aims to establish a centralized diplomatic hub that will enhance Egypt’s status as a global and regional diplomatic center, reflecting the progressive vision of urban administration.
This latest agreement with the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire is part of ACUD’s continued commitment to attract various diplomatic missions to the New Capital, following a series of agreements including one with the Embassy of Algeria in Cairo.
In summary, the agreement between ACUD and the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire marks a significant development in the establishment of a modern diplomatic hub at the New Administrative Capital. Both parties have expressed optimism about the relocation’s benefits and its potential to enhance diplomatic relations and urban advancements. As more embassies join this initiative, the New Capital is poised to strengthen its role in global diplomacy.
