In summary, Iraq’s rank in the Government AI Readiness Index reflects a moderate level of preparedness for AI adoption, particularly emphasizing its data and infrastructure strength. Despite significant regional competition, Iraq’s government initiatives, such as the forthcoming national AI strategy, signify a commitment to enhancing capabilities in this crucial technological area. Continued investment and strategic planning will be essential for Iraq to improve its standing both regionally and globally.
