Following a brief hesitation, the police intervened, removing the perpetrator and fellow extremists from the scene. Additionally, another video shared by the news agency ANI illustrates a group of pro-Khalistani supporters outside the Chatham House, displaying flags and chanting slogans.
Despite the security breach, Dr. Jaishankar continued with his schedule. He engaged in comprehensive discussions at Chevening House with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, addressing numerous bilateral matters such as strategic coordination, political dialogue, trade negotiations, and education. Furthermore, he firmly articulated India’s stance on the Kashmir issue at Chatham House, negating the necessity for any third-party intervention.
Dr. Jaishankar highlighted the measures undertaken by India to improve the situation in Kashmir, including the abrogation of Article 370, economic advancements, and successful elections.
