On March 6, 2025, ECARX Holdings Inc. announced it has been awarded a contract by the Volkswagen Group to deliver advanced digital cockpit solutions for their vehicles globally, including those branded as Volkswagen and Skoda. The digital cockpit solution comprises both hardware and software from the ECARX Antora® 1000 computing platform alongside the ECARX Cloudpeak® software architecture.
ECARX will launch a substantial number of vehicles featuring a user experience collaboratively defined with the Volkswagen Group, with initial launches set for Brazil and India. The ECARX Antora® 1000 represents the fourth generation of its digital cockpit platform, utilizing a high-performance 7nm System-on-Chip (SoC) from SiEngine.
The ECARX Cloudpeak® platform, designed to be flexible and modular, operates under the Android Automotive system and Linux, capable of integrating various services such as Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play, along with mobile services like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. All components of this platform are developed in-house by ECARX to ensure energy efficiency and a superior user experience.
