Oriole Resources Highlights Promising Potential of Cameroon Gold Project

Oriole Resources has reported promising drilling results from its Mbe gold project in Cameroon, with high-grade gold intervals identified. The drilling campaign is progressing, having completed over 30% of its planned depth, uncovering substantial gold mineralization. The project boasts potential for further discoveries as the company refines its geological model based on current findings.

Oriole Resources PLC has expressed strong optimism regarding the Mbe gold project in Cameroon, following highly encouraging drilling results. Chief Executive Martin Rosser highlighted the successful intersection of a high-grade interval measuring 4.24 meters, yielding 7.7 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, with notable sections reaching up to 18 g/t gold. Additionally, broader intervals of lower-grade mineralization were identified, reinforcing the project’s significant potential.

The ongoing drilling campaign at the MB01-S target has now surpassed 30% completion, with approximately 2,200 meters drilled across seven holes thus far. The initial findings have confirmed solid gold mineralization across a strike length of at least 200 meters and down to a vertical depth of approximately 290 meters. Results from hole MBDD004 also revealed multiple gold intersections, enhancing the understanding of the project’s geological structure.

While the latest hole, MBDD004, was anticipated to yield the highest grades, it instead provided vital structural information contributing to the refinement of the geological model. Rosser emphasized the importance of the scissor hole methodology applied during drilling to enhance overall geological understanding and improve drill hole parameters as the program progresses.

In summary, Oriole Resources demonstrates a robust commitment to exploring the Mbe gold project in Cameroon. The most recent drilling has produced significant high-grade gold intersections, affirming the project’s considerable potential. With ongoing drilling efforts and strategic partnerships, the future results are expected to further delineate the extent of gold mineralization within the area.
