During a recent three-day visit from February 21 to 23, Cricket West Indies (CWI) President Dr. Kishore Shallow and Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) President Keith Joseph traveled to Peru to advance international collaboration in cricket before the 2027 Pan American Games. They met with notable figures including the President of the Peruvian Olympic Committee, Renzo Manyari Velazco, and the former President, José Quinones González. The purpose of the discussions was to support the development of cricket in Peru through collaborative training programs and exchange initiatives designed to enhance the sport’s visibility in the region.
Additionally, the delegation examined the necessary infrastructure developments required to support cricket’s growth, ensuring its viable inclusion in the upcoming Pan American Games. CANOC’s initiative highlighted the importance of CWI’s involvement, with President Joseph stating, “The impact of West Indies cricket across the globe is well known.
