The Zim-Israel Connect platform was recently inaugurated in Harare, aimed at enhancing collaboration in religious and economic sectors between Zimbabwe and Israel. Ronny Levi Musan, the head of the consulate for Zimbabwe in Israel, emphasized the profound spiritual connection that Bible believers share with Israel, referring to it as the mother of all churches and a spiritual beacon, in line with the prophet Isaiah’s words. He asserted that churches devoid of this connection are merely social entities.
Musan recounted his first meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa, praising the President’s genuine faith in God and his passion for re-establishing ties with Israel. This reconnection is seen as fostering a unique relationship that transcends regular diplomatic interactions. His presence at the Zim-Israel Connect launch is intended to spiritually and materially link Israel closer to the people of Zimbabwe.
He announced initiatives like the Israel-Zimbabwe Online Church, which aims to disseminate messages from Israel across Zimbabwe, as well as promoting pilgrimage trips to the Holy Land, allowing Zimbabweans to experience the land of Jesus. He assured that visiting Israel would profoundly impact participants’ lives.
On the economic front, Musan is dedicated to facilitating business collaborations across various sectors, including agriculture, communications, education, and information security, to introduce technological advancements from Israel to Zimbabwe. He stated that the launch represents significant progress towards bringing spiritual and material improvements to Zimbabweans.
Alson Darikayi, President of Action for Empowerment Zimbabwe (AEZ), highlighted the platform’s importance in fostering collaboration between the two nations. He outlined that the Zim-Israel Connect targets three areas of cooperation: religious exchanges, organizing pilgrimages, and establishing a chamber of commerce to enhance bilateral business and investment prospects. AEZ is committed to promoting social justice and community development through accessible business opportunities and resources.
The launch of the Zim-Israel Connect in Harare aims to strengthen the ties between Zimbabwe and Israel through spiritual and economic collaborations.
