Stability in Chilean Salmon Prices to the US Amid Rebound in Brazil and China

Chilean salmon prices to the US remained stable in February 2025, while there was a slight price increase for Brazil and China. The average wholesale price for salmon fillets had previously risen but saw some declines in early 2025 before stabilizing.

In the latter half of 2024 and early 2025, the average wholesale price of trim D fillets of Atlantic salmon delivered FOB to Miami, Florida showed a steady increase, though slight declines were observed during weeks five, six, and seven of 2025. Meanwhile, prices for Chilean salmon delivered to the US remained largely stable during the eighth week of 2025 (February 17-23). In contrast, prices to Brazil and China experienced a modest increase, as noted by the data aggregation firm, Skills.

The analysis indicates that while the prices for Chilean salmon to the United States have stabilized, there has been a slight upward trend in the pricing for Brazil and China. This reflects varying market dynamics across regions and the potential impact of external factors influencing demand and supply.
