During the meeting, prominent officials included Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, Palestinian Minister of Planning Wael Zakout, and Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Diab Al-Louh. Prime Minister Madbouly reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people, emphasizing their right to self-determination and an independent state within the June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem serving as its capital.

The Egyptian foreign ministry announced that the emergency Arab Summit, initially set for 27 February, had been rescheduled after consultations with Arab nations and in partnership with Bahrain, the current chair of the Arab League Council.
