Fr Álvaro Pacheco Carve Appointed Provincial of Argentina-Uruguay Province

Moreover, he completed his postgraduate studies, obtaining a Master’s and Doctorate in Canon Law and Philosophy of Law from prestigious institutions, including Université Paris II, Institut Catholique de Paris, and Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA). He was ordained a priest in 2010 by Bishop Nicolás Cotugno at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Montevideo. Following his ordination, Fr. Álvaro assumed numerous significant roles such as Director of the Department of Philosophy, Dean of Law, and Vice-Rector for the University Environment at the Catholic University of Uruguay from 2011 to 2021. Furthermore, he served as the Parish Administrator of Nuestra Señora de Fátima in Montevideo from 2014 to 2018 and has been a Judge at the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Montevideo since 2012. Currently, Fr. Álvaro is the Rector of the Seminary College in Montevideo and serves as the Superior of its community.
